Eligibility for Discounts

Children Under the Age of 5

?Who

One child under the age of 5 can travel for free when accompanied by a paying adult. Each additional child will be charged the full fare.

 

?How Much

Children under the age of 5 who are not exempt from charges are eligible for a 50% discount with a Rav-Kav Card loaded with a Youth profile (Rav-Kav can be issued at any age), or with the accompanying adult’s Rav-Kav Card loaded with a Regular, Youth, or Senior profile. Otherwise, no discount will apply.

Baby carriers or strollers are free of charge.

Children above the age of 5 and youth

?Who

Children aged 5 and above, youths under 18 or until completion of 12th grade (whichever occurs later), and special education students under 21.

 

?How Much

50% discount with a Rav-Kav Card loaded with the Youth profile, including accumulated value or a monthly pass.

Students

Who?
Students enrolled in any of the Ministry of Transportation approved institutions.


 

How Much?

– Students are entitled to 33% discount on  accumulated value, with a Rav-Kav Card loaded with the Regular Student profile*.
– Students with an Extended Student profile are entitled to 50% on accumulated value. Additionally, students who purchased either an Annual or Semester Student Pass, are entitled to 50% or 45% discount respectively, on monthly passes.
* Student profile needs to be renewed at the end of each school year.

Senior Citizen

Who?

Israeli senior citizens: Women above the age of 62 and men above 67.

 

How Much?

50% discount with a Rav-Kav Card loaded with the appropriate profile upon presenting Israeli ID (Teudat Zehut), driver’s license, Israeli passport, or Senior Citizen card accompanied by any of the aforementioned identification documents.

 

What About…

Citizens above the age of 75 are entitled to full fare exemption upon loading the Rav-Kav profile or obtaining a Golden Age Rav-Kav.

 

National Guard or Service Individuals

Who?

Individuals providing a certificate: police officers, prison authority employees, reserve soldiers, IDF candidates presenting a brochure, students of pre-army preparatory courses (Shoharim), cadets, soldiers in uniform, or soldiers in civilian clothes presenting the appropriate documents.

 

How Much?

Full exemption from public transportation fees on weekdays, and on weekends for soldiers in civilian clothes, on all service lines excluding Eilat service lines without a validated Arava card.

 

What About…

SHALAT, cadet students, national or civilian service conscripts, and Shnat Sherut volunteers are entitled to full exemption from fees upon loading their Rav-Kav card with the relevant profile.

Disabled and National Insurance (Bituach Leumi) Eligibles

Who?

Disabled and National Insurance (Bituach Leumi) eligibles.

 

How Much?

50% discount with a Rav-Kav Card loaded with the appropriate profile, applicable for accumulated value only.

Blind or Vision Impaired

Who?

Blind or vision-impaired individuals.

 

How Much?

Full exemption from public transport fees, upon loading the relevant profile on Rav-Kav card.


 

What About…

Persons escorting blind individuals are entitled to a 50% discount when purchasing accumulated value on the blind passenger’s Rav-Kav Card.



 

Guide dogs during their training period and their instructor won’t be charged, provided the instructor presents an validated certificate from the institute (for example, Israeli Center of Service Dogs).
