Traveling with Pets

Dogs, cats, or other small animals, are allowed to travel on public transport if they are muzzled and on a leash, and held inside a box or a basket, carried by the passenger or placed on the passenger’s knee, only if they do not prove to be a nuisance or cause inconvenience to passengers. Under these restrictions, there is no charge for animals.

Certain animal species are not allowed on the bus under any circumstances.

Guide dogs are allowed to travel on public transport without a muzzle, if they are kept on a leash.

Guide dogs during their training period and their instructor won’t be charged, as long as the instructor presents a validated certificate given by the relevant institute (for example, Israeli Center of Service Dogs). Guide dogs must be kept on a leash, without a muzzle, and wear the vest  “Guide Dog in Training” (“כלב נחיה באימון”) of its institute.

Service dogs on leash are allowed to travel on public transport without a muzzle.

Carrying and storing strollers, bicycles, electric scooters, or surfboards – depending on space availability.

Guidelines for Storing and Carrying Bicycles: 



As you load bicycles into the baggage compartment, please ensure that:
Your bicycles don’t obstruct other passengers’ luggage.
Your bicycles are securely positioned within the compartment.
No bags, helmets, or other loose items are left attached to the bicycles.

Please note:
It is prohibited to store dirty bicycles in the baggage compartment.
Storing oversized bicycles (tandems, bicycles with large attachments, excluding baby seats) in the baggage compartment is prohibited.
Carrying or storing motorized bicycles is prohibited.
The company is not liable for any loss or damage sustained to the bicycles or their accessories.

Passengers may bring carry-on luggage free of charge, as listed below, provided it does not disturb or inconvenience other passengers: Bag, suitcase, or rucksack stored in the baggage compartment. Folded stroller or wheelchair. Handheld items such as musical instruments, packages, or boxes, as long as they are not placed in the aisle or near bus doors. Slim items such as a wooden pole, not exceeding one meter in length.

Persons with reduced mobility who wish to take their wheelchair or mobility scooter on a city bus may use the rear door ramp, if the dimensions of wheelchair or scooter do not exceed 75 cms (width), 120 cms (depth) and 130 kgs (weight).

There will be no charges for children prams, strollers and buggies.

Each paying passenger may accompany one child under the age of 5 free of charge. Additional children are subject to fare fees. For more information, click here.

Weapons, explosives, luggage emitting foul odors, and any other items that may cause harm to passengers, their belongings, or their clothing are strictly prohibited.
